about ATTACC

ATTACC is a small organization of San Francisco Bay Area teens who want to help save the environment. Our goal is to inform our generation about climate change and encourage them to take actions to address it by creating educational programs for students and running volunteer opportunities for teens and children who aspire to make a difference in the world in their own way. Currently, we host beach cleanups that students are able to volunteer at or help run, as well as various educational programs. If you are interested in contacting or working with the organization, you can email us at attaccorganization@gmail.com or contact us through any of our social media platforms.

Ellen Kim:

Hi! My name is Ellen, I’m a junior at San Mateo High School, and I use she/her pronouns. Outside of school, I love reading, baking, and spending time with my friends. I think that climate change is one of the most important issues that we are facing in this period of time and hope that I can help educate kids about the importance of sustainability and the ways they can help, whether big or small. I want to foster a community of volunteers that can support each other and work together to make a real difference.  As a middle or high schooler, it is easy to feel helpless but I want to give others a chance to do something about goes beyond a simple  beach cleanup. I believe that teens can make real difference in the world and hope that we can create some change through the ATTACC community

Carly Peters:

Carly is passionate about saving our planet from climate change, and is delighted to be a part of the ATTACC team. She is a 9th grader at BHS and helps with general ATTACC work, as well as doing everything she can to be green in her daily life.

Zara Gandhi:

Hi, I’m Zara! I use the pronouns she/her and go to San Mateo High School. When I’m out of school, I like to hangout with my friends and watch shows. I joined ATTACC because I started realising how much the climate crisis was going to change our lives. Being in ATTACC gives me opportunities to work with other people to spread awareness about the important rising issue.

Kelsey McDonald:

Hi, I'm Kelsey and I use she/her pronouns! I'm currently a junior at Burlingame High School. In my free time I enjoy swimming, playing water polo and soccer, reading, baking, and volunteering with cats at the SPCA. I joined ATTACC, because I wanted to help protect our planet and find solutions to our current climate crisis. I believe that it's critical that teens and younger generations step up to help fight and bring an end to this issue, because many adults and world leaders are doing nothing about it. We need to save our precious planet and all of the beautiful wildlife and nature it holds.

Kalyani Deshpande:

Hi! My name is Kalyani but I go by kaly (like cali). I’m 16 and a Junior at San Mateo High School. I joined the attac organization mainly for two reasons, one so I would be able to see some of my friends a little more often. And the other way I would be able to spread awareness about global change that is currently happening. I feel that it is incredibly important to be aware of what is going on in the world and make others aware of it as well. In my freetime I like to watch movies, play with my dog and play games with my friends. I enjoy hanging out with friends and laughing with them whenever I can :)
